Tee Grizzley is going strong right now. The rapper’s new single “Blow for Blow” has a lot of people excited, and he’s striking while the iron is hot. On September 30, he revealed on social media that his new album “Post Traumatic” has been completed. Not only that, but the highly anticipated album will actually drop on Friday, October 4th.
Everyone knows that the upcoming feature is J. Cole. The Dreamville founder steals the show on Tee Grizzley’s hit single “Blow for Blow.” His verses are absolutely head-turning and prove that Grizzley can lyrically hang with the absolute best of them. J. Cole and Grizzley even released a music video, which you can check out here . However, Post Traumatic’s other features are equally exciting. Tee has collaborated with various artists including G Herbo, YTB Fatt and Future. Stars such as Hunxho, Tink, Fridayy, Baby Grizzley and Mariah the Scientist will also make guest appearances.
Tee Grizzley’s album will be released on October 4th
That’s a lot of talent for one album. Tee Grizzley discussed the collaborative process for his new album in a recent interview with Complex. He told the media that he first connected with J. Cole when he toured with Drake. He wanted to make sure they found the perfect instrument to connect with, and “Blow for Blow” proves that. “Man, as soon as we found it, I knew it was it,” Grizzley recalled. “And I know Cole is very talented.” Tee Grizzley also talked about the unique experience of working with Future in the studio.
Tee Grizzley told Complex that Future is so full of musical ideas that it seems like it can jam for hours on end. This was in direct contrast to the working methods of most of the artists Grizzley had previously worked with. “I’m surprised he didn’t run out,” the rapper explained. “A lot of people would say, ‘OK, it’s time to go.’ He could leave, nothing surprises me, I know it’s going to be a great experience and I see it in the future as one of the greats. We can’t wait to hear this album and how Tee Grizzley’s voice compares to his impressive album.
