Future becomes the first rapper to have three No. 1 albums in six months. The Atlanta rapper’s project Mixtape Pluto is set to top the Billboard 200 album chart this week.

Future makes history with three No. 1 albums in six months

According to a Billboard report released on Sunday (September 29), Future earned his 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Mixtape Pluto, his third album due out in 2024. 129,000 equivalent album units were sold in the United States.

With his chart-topping success, the 40-year-old artist made history by becoming the first rapper to have three chart-topping albums in just six months. In fact, he is the only solo music artist to do this.

Earlier this year, Future scored two No. 1 hits with Metro Boomin-assisted collaborations “We Don’t Trust You” and “We Still Don’t Trust You,” released on March 22 and April 12 respectively. number one album.

Future joins list of distinguished artists with most No. 1s

Future Hendrix debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his 11th album, joining a group of esteemed artists with the most chart-topping albums in their careers. ATL Rhymes is now tied with Eminem, Ye, Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. Ranking first, followed by Jay-Z and Taylor Swift with 14 No. 1s each, and Drake with 13 No. 1s.

Future took to his Instagram Story on Sunday (September 29) to express his shock at landing three No. 1s this year. In one post, Future shared a black-and-white photo of himself and captioned it: “Oh S**t! 3 #1 is crazy!”

He also thanked producer Southside for serving as executive producer of Mixtape Pluto.

“Southside I can’t thank you enough for being a team player. 808 Mafia, Unlimited [eagle emoji],” Future wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
