P!nk insists her decision to delete X’s account in February had nothing to do with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ recent legal troubles, refuting online rumors.
“This account will self-destruct in two minutes,” the singer posted before deleting her social media presence on the site formerly known as Twitter.
However, rumors began to swirl earlier this month after Diddy was arrested on sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for prostitution charges.
There was speculation that P!nk’s exit was to distance himself from Diddy.
The “So What” singer took to Instagram to set the record straight.

“I don’t know why I’m making headlines this week, but I deleted my Twitter account on February 6th!!!” P!nk wrote. “There is no truth to the rumors circulating this week and while I have met some in passing, I am not related to anyone mentioned.”
Usher, who has also been embroiled in controversy, also spoke out after his X account was also deleted.
The “My Boo” artist claimed in a statement that his account was hacked. “The account was hacked and you all ran away!” he said.
P!nk previously detailed the reasons for her departure from X in an interview with Australian radio show “Carrie and Tommy.”
She cited online hostility and death threats as her main motivations.
“Oh my god, I feel free. I’ve had enough,” the 45-year-old said. “I’ve had so many wonderful experiences on Twitter and made so many wonderful connections that I would never have had otherwise, but it’s not Twitter anymore, it’s not even called Twitter anymore. Now it’s just A cesspool of disgruntled people dumping out there doesn’t do your mental health any good, it’s just not good.
Didi, who maintains her innocence, has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City, awaiting trial.
