50 Cent says his long-derided Diddy documentary will “give a voice to the voiceless” and that Puff’s actions won’t overshadow hip-hop’s influence.
50 Cent’s Diddy series is officially in development
On Wednesday (September 25), Variety reported that 50 Cent’s long-discussed bragging documentary series has officially entered production at Netflix. In a statement shared with the publication, “50” director Alexander Stapleton said the upcoming documentary will cover more than just the recent indictments and lawsuits against the disgraced tycoon. Instead, they said doctors would explore the years leading up to the indictment.
“This is a story with profound human consequences,” they wrote in a joint statement. “This is a complex narrative that spans decades, and is more than just the headlines or clips seen so far. We We remain deeply committed to giving voice to the voiceless and presenting authentic and nuanced perspectives. While these allegations are disturbing, we urge everyone to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not about hip-hop and its culture. The duo said proceeds from the series will be donated to victims of sexual assault. The G-Unit leader will executive produce through his G-Unit Film and Television banner, while Stapleton executive produces for House of Nonfiction.
After the news was posted, 50 people commented on the news on Instagram.
“I keep telling you all these weird things and I don’t go to bloated parties,” he wrote. “You didn’t believe me before, but I bet you do now.”
He then posted a spoof photo of Diddy’s baby oil, a play on the stash of baby oil found at his residence during a raid on Diddy’s property in March.
“Coming soon! Haha,” he wrote.
50 Cent first announced in December that he would be producing a documentary, and by May it was reported that he had sold it to Netflix.

50 Cent announces documentary
When 50 Cent first announced the documentary, it came less than a month after Cassie filed an explosive lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of years of sexual and physical abuse during their 10-year relationship. Diddy has faced more lawsuits and accusations since his announcement in the 1950s.
Puff was indicted in New York last week on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation for prostitution. On Tuesday (September 24), another woman filed rape charges against Pav. Thalia Graves files lawsuit against Puff and his former security chief Joseph Sherman, accusing them of violently raping her in 2001, documents obtained by XXL reveal , and recorded the entire attack on video.
