Donald Trump really tested the limits of his supporters’ patience during the presidential debates. The former president claimed that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, were eating cats and dogs. This is a statement without any evidence. But that claim was later proven false and was considered the low point of Trump’s campaign. Kodak Black has been an outspoken supporter of Trump for years, but even he was confused by what he was hearing. Especially considering the rapper’s Haitian roots.
Kodak Black responded to Trump’s comments at a concert. “This is crazy,” he noted. “Is that true? Man, I’m not gonna lie, man, I’m a Trump supporter.” However, the more the rapper spoke about the matter, the more conflicted he seemed. Kodak Black even vowed to travel to Ohio to see if Trump’s claims were true. “I gotta see this shit. I don’t smell that,” he claimed. “I’ve never seen a Haitian not eat cat, man. When you show me a Haitian eating cat, you can tell that’s bullshit.”
Kodak Black has been singing the praises of Donald Trump for years. In 2023, the rapper explained why he found Trump attractive on an episode of Drink Champs. “He’s a Gemini like me,” Kodak explained. That boy, like, he’s here too. How do assholes like China, Russia and South Korea have their own presidents. Trump is the best thing for America.
However, the rapper struck a decidedly more skeptical tone during his latest stage rant. Kodak stops short of claiming that Donald Trump is working for the good of the country, instead expressing doubts about his rhetoric and its impact on his own people. His skepticism doesn’t mean he’s switching to Democrats, however. “Anyway, I think we’re done,” he told the crowd. “I don’t like that Kamala Harris shit either. What the hell is going on in America?” Kodak may not have the answers, but he’s asking the right questions.
