On Thursday (September 12), Nicki Minaj responded to Stephen A. Smith on the X Nicki was criticized on The Stephen A. Smith Show. Smith took aim at Nicki after she appeared to insult Jay-Z for choosing Kendrick Lamar over Lil Wayne to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans.
“Come on, Nicki, I respect you, I respect your work, I respect what you’ve accomplished, who are you going to fight with?” Smith said before listing off several singers and rappers whom Nicki is unhappy with. , which includes Cardi B and Lil’ Kim. “Every time we turn around, something happens, Nicki. You don’t agree with this decision, you don’t agree with this decision. You can’t talk about his brother like that. Why are we talking about Jay-Z like he’s a fucking salesman?” Same thing – out or what?
Smith went on to talk about how difficult it is for black people to achieve what Hough has accomplished. “Can you not be grateful?” he continued. “This isn’t about you personally, it’s about us! All of us, as black people!”
Nicki was quick to respond to the hate on X.
“Oh, look at another one of your paid laughing taffy aliens who just gets down on his knees and turns around and comes back,” she said. If you get more, it’s your fault.
Nicki then confused Stephen A. Smith with Shannon Sharpe, who leaked the sex tape on Instagram Live on Wednesday (September 11).
“Stephen, didn’t you just moan live in the bedroom? LMFAOOOO,” Nikki added. “Since we’re in a women’s business…ladies; when should a man shave his head? Should he go for the normal thing like SAS Sassy a*s, or should he consider a lace front?”
Then she corrected herself and said, “Oh, no.”

Nicki Minaj Seems Not Choosing Kendrick Lamar to Join Jay-Z
News broke over the weekend that Kendrick Lamar will perform at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans next year, and fans and rappers alike started reacting. On Monday (September 9), Nicki called out Weezy for the oversight and appeared to place the blame on Jay-Z, whose Roc Nation company has served as the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist since 2019.
“Just because of your ego, you deprived a young black man of his due investment in this game. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake and Nicki led you to punish Lil Wayne? Lil Wayne!! GOAT? She concluded that rap would never be the same without Wayne or his influence, and that he should be given a chance to perform. Other rappers also expressed support for Wayne, including Birdman, Ma$e, Cam’ron and Juvenile.
