Here Are The Full Lyrics To Kendrick Lamar's New Song

Kendrick Lamar just dropped his first single since releasing “Not Like Us,” and instead of dissing Drake, the West Coast MC seems to be calling out the culture at large . In the lyrics he calls out influential people and dissects the world around him.

On Wednesday (September 11), K-Dot released a new song on Instagram that has listeners wondering if society is living in a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah. The 5-minute narrative, roughly titled “Death by the Watch Party,” finds Kendrick lamenting the circumstances in which people succumb to temptation and overeat. In his own snarky way, over a sad and soulful beat, the Compton spitter rhymes about chopping off the heads of fakes and snakes that are notorious in hip-hop culture.

In the first verse, Kendrick implies that he lives in an apocalyptic world that needs cleansing, and he’s just the host doing it. After a chorus in which Kenny prays to God while trumpeting his righteousness, Kenny uses the second verse to call for those who practice corporate greed and propaganda to “sound their heads.” He then ended the third verse with the same sentiment, while praising the likes of Christian singer Lecrae and rapper-activist Dee-1.

Listen to Kendrick Lamar’s new track and read the full lyrics below.

Full lyrics to Kendrick Lamar’s new song, titled “Watch the Party Die”

Section 1

I think it’s time to watch the party die
This thing is too evil to apologize for
No, beat him up and disqualify him
We even kill murderers because they enjoy taking innocent lives
Burn down the whole village and we start over, it’s really time
Why bother trying to reason with these guys if they can’t see a future?
If the circus is running so well, why bother arguing with these clowns?
Just take that guy down and it’ll be better for everyone
It’s love, but love is tough and sometimes leads to violence
If you are gluttonous and do not offer the truth to young people,
Cemetery is companionship, please tell us what coffin to choose
They like partying more than women, tell me what are you doing?
They glorify fraud and your credit card will be charged.
Influencers keep their heads down because I don’t agree with basic stuff
But they don’t hate me, they hate the man I represent
The kind of man who never rides a bike because I want a favor
a patient person
So where are the soldiers?
Those who lost everything and learned from it
Longing for life, he plunged into books because he cared about this
Message that would change his life because he wanted it
Dedication, figuring out the right thing to do because he can make money from it
I feel for women who deal with clowns and nerds
Can’t blame them, they really have nothing to work with today
How many women have it harder than you women?
Would trade all of you for Nip, I couldn’t be prouder of you

chorus

God, please give me life. Dear God, please give me peace.
Dear God please keep these lame guys away from me
Dear God, make me shine, do they really think that?
Check your pocket to see if you are a police officer
God, bless these words, dear God, bless my thoughts.
Dear God, draw the line, they are trying to confuse them with me
Dear God, please forgive me, you know how hard I try
I think it’s time for me to watch the party die.
Let them go, we’ll watch the team die
Send them home and we’ll watch the team die

Section 2

I think it’s time to watch the party die
Street thugs and corporate types, rappers who report lies
I need their families to feel humiliated
We can live without them and let their bodies organize themselves
tell me if you are obligated
No more pillow talk, no more neighborhood wars
Dirty bastard, because you’re mentally insecure.
A flashy woman who makes dirty decisions with money as her backbone
I want his head smashed before he comes home
Radio personality promotes salary promotion
Please notify me when they have casualties.
I want pain, attacks and beatings.
I see a new earth full of beautiful people making humanity work hard
Let’s kill the followers of poppin’ mollies
Obvious, depraved, just not admitting it
Hopefully we can spread the word if I’m not his vote
Then you need to bring his damn avatar or high-res film

Section 3

Sometimes I wonder what Lecrae would do
Fuck these villains or show them what prayer will do
I want to have empathy, my heart is like Dee-1
But I will…
It’s time to get rid of these demons
There’s heavy metal on my sword, today we resolve a thorny dispute
Ghetto Hollywood Divorce and Say Hello to Your Future Destiny
A culture bred by carnivores, you give them snacks and they eat your face
Signature was forged
They want to know why I’m not keen on giving up
The more visible you are, the more your spirit will be tested
It’s cynical to say I know these artists are stunned
The end result is being imprisoned by a Jezebel or drugged with lies
Crucially, I know my body is constantly being tested
When I question my pride, I feel pathetic and sink
I saw ghosts, blacked out, relapsed
For a third of the time I went to great lengths to feel like it wasn’t mine
I’m lost in my feelings as I slip
I mean, I’d love to know what Lecrae would do
Trayce Martin said I’m spiritually layered, and it’s true
My best regards to the market, I pay your dues
Here’s the thing, if you’re not one of us, that’s bad news
My n** Jay Estrada says I have to burn it down to rebuild it
This confirmation is fucking real, but not as real as us
Lock down what I trust
Look outside, the kids will be alive tomorrow because the party just ended today
