Ludacris resurrected the giant arm from his “Get Back” music video to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the Atlanta Braves’ game against the Colorado Rockies.
Wednesday night (September 4th) is Ludacris Night at Truist Park. The Braves celebrated the Grammy Award-winning rapper as a tribute to a local Atlanta music legend.
The tribute kicked off at the Atlanta Battery Food Truck, serving Southern soul food inspired by the menu at Ludacris’ Chicken & Beer restaurant. Luda’s DJ DJ Inknown was on deck playing his hits.
Meanwhile, the first 15,000 fans to enter Truist Park received an exclusive Ludacris bobblehead to commemorate the occasion.
When Ludacris throws out the first pitch, he rocks the cartoonishly large arms and sneakers from the Spike Jonze-directed film.

However, younger fans unfamiliar with his history of creating iconic rap music videos were confused by the oversized appendage. The comments section of Luda’s Instagram post was divided between fans quoting the lyrics to “Get Back” and others who had no idea what was going on. Some even joked that Ludacris recently tasted glacier water and grew giant arms.
