GloRilla has reason to celebrate over Labor Day weekend. The Martin Luther King Jr. Academy Preparatory High School graduate, who began pursuing music as a teenager, is one of the featured guests on the decks of Tennessee’s annual 901 Days.
The Collective Music Group artist shared a few photos of herself on stage downtown on Sunday (September 1) as she was handed the keys to Memphis. She wrote in the caption: “Memphis made me, Frazier raised me. I got the keys to my city ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh901 Happy Memphis!

The honor comes more than a year after Drake was awarded the Key to Memphis. Drake spent summers in Memphis as a kid. His father, Dennis Graham, was from Tennessee’s second most populous city. Throughout his career, Drake has paid tribute to his “second home” in his music and videos.

Glorilla cited tweets from critics and added her own take on the complaints about Drake accepting the keys to Shelby County.
