Drake shared a video of him and The Weeknd backstage during OVO Fest 2013, in which the two didn’t appear to be on good terms. The video begins with Drake tapping everyone in the room except The Weeknd and joking with them about his performance at the festival. Just before the show ended, he finally acknowledged The Weeknd’s existence.
Fans on social media said it showed the pair had not been on good terms for years. “You can tell Abel didn’t retweet him, haha,” one user on X (formerly Twitter) responded. Another commented: “Drake is a slimy guy. Look how he cut out this video just as he admitted to the weekend and was about to film him.” Others reflected on the past ten years of their growth. “The Weeknd was on the rise at the time and you could tell he was going to be huge. Seeing this video now reminds us how far he has come. OVO Fest 2013 was iconic,” one fan added.

The video comes after The Weeknd criticized Drake earlier this year when he collaborated with Future and Metro Boomin on “All to Myself.” “I thank God I never gave up on my life…Their shooters made TikTok/Made us laugh in the Lamborghini (yeah),” he sings. Drake eventually fought back with a “push-up.”

The Weeknd isn’t the only artist to appear on 100 Gigs. The Toronto rapper also shared a clip of Kanye West praising him on stage at OVO Fest 2013. West thanked Drake and credited him with pushing him and JAY-Z to release “Watch The Throne” in 2011.
