Big Sean teams up with Lyrical Lemonade for a new video titled “Yes,” in which he finds himself back in a trap bag.
In the black-and-white visual, released on Tuesday (August 20), a dapper Sean becomes a chess grandmaster before being splashed with color.
“New shit might get weird and have to be brought back / Stupid little bitches trying to remember some of the old shit / When you slack off at work, that’s when they try to take it / N-ggas Really think they’re cruel ’cause they talk with their necks,” he raps on the song.
Enter the video below.
The song will likely appear on Big Sean’s new album Better Me Than You, although fans are still waiting for its release after the song was delayed earlier this month.
Sean admitted as much in the comments section of his Instagram post on Monday, August 5.
In the caption, he wrote: “I’ll have a better album than you soon!”
Referring to Sean’s previously announced release date of August 9th, one commenter replied: “Why do you say the album is so soon like it won’t be out on the 9th!!!??!?”
Sean responded: “I’m going to have to push it a little bit. The music is done, but just organizing listening events, performances, etc., might take an extra week or two to plan.
As Sean puts the finishing touches on the launch of Better Me Than You, he’s also soaking up life advice from one of the world’s biggest stars, Will Smith.
In a clip of the pair’s chat posted on Sean’s TikTok, the Oscar-winning actor offered the Detroit host some wisdom from his decades in the entertainment industry.
“When you get to the edge of the physical world… you know, I call it a cliff top. A cliff top is the opposite of a rocky bottom. When someone hits rock bottom and can’t fall any further, you need to pick yourself up or you’ll die.
“Either you find God at the top of the cliff, or you die because there’s nothing else for you here.”
