August Alsina has been trending online lately, thanks to his conversations with Nick Cannon and his Lawyer Culture Panel. An interviewer asked the R&B artist about his “love for another man” and how to “turn on [his] heart” has helped him with that. While answering the question, the New Orleans, Louisiana native said that God essentially aided him in seeing the light, so to speak. “I always say that the greatest gift that God could have ever given me was Exposure. Exposed me to so many different types of people, places and things.” This angered reality TV star Akbar V, a staunch believer and follower of what the Bible says.
Yesterday, she went on a couple of rants against August Alsina, in which she essentially accused him of lying and saying God would help him discover his homosexuality. “He gave us a choice… How did God do that and say it was sin? So does that mean God is a liar?” she asked angrily. Later, she went on to question who this God of August was because “it was only a real living God.” She also clarified at one point that she had nothing against him or judged his love for another man. V was even more annoyed at how he realized this. “This is not to disparage August Alsina. I am not speaking against my brother; I am basically saying that God did not tell him because God does not like sin… If we sin, God is not one who promotes sin God.
August Alsina and Akbar V feuded
After everything he’s been through, he’s now fighting back in a diplomatic way, might we add. According to a retweet from The Shade Room, Alsina is promoting his new fragrance “Evolutionary.” Talking about his product, he said it has some unique features. To be precise, it is a “negative energy repellent”. He even said it “really became a kind of aromatherapy for me.” Moreover, his title must have had the name of Akbar V written all over it. “Message 🗒️!!.. There is much more to say, but I don’t want to interrupt God’s grace in life, which speaks loudest. Stay healthy! ❤️🩹”. All this back and forth has caused a lot of debate, and we’re sure it will continue for at least another day or two.
What do you think of August Alsina’s response to Akbar V’s cry? Whose side are you on in this back-and-forth? Who crossed the line? Do you expect this to continue for the rest of the week?
