She had great success with Sunday Service. Now, Lato is ready to take the next step in her career, embarking on her first tour as a headliner. The rapper revealed the news on August 14.
Latto’s Molasses Iced Tea Tour kicks off October 25th in Tampa. The tour will span 22 cities and wrap up in Denver on December 7th. Scientist Maria appears on the song “Look What You Did” from Lato’s new album. The album successfully topped the US Apple Music album chart and received positive reviews from fans. Audiences generally agree that Lato achieved great success with the Sugar Honey Iced Tea album. It’s safe to assume she’ll be doing the same thing on tour.
Lato’s stage show has evolved over the years
Lato has been vocal about her desire to become a superstar. She reflected on her stage presence in a recent interview with Billboard. “What I’m most proud of is how comfortable I feel on stage,” she explains. “When I looked back at the tape, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh. Who is she? This is not the girl from rehearsal.’ I felt like I was looking at a star. Lato also discussed what she wanted to do in the upcoming Something that was implemented in the stage show on the Arrival Molasses Iced Tea Tour.
“I definitely want to get more involved in choreography,” the rapper told the outlet. “We started out [none]now I hit one or two here and there. I told them I needed a ‘roll on the floor and get up’ dramatic moment. . It just looks more premium. Beyoncé won’t be on stage on Air Force One!
