Lil Woody has admitted to shooting the barber shop owned by rapper Rich Homie Quan’s father.

He admitted as much during his testimony on Aug. 12, 2024, when Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton questioned him.

After asking Judge Paige Reese Whitaker if he could be charged with a crime and being confirmed that he would not be, Lil Woody detailed his involvement in the 2014 shooting.

He explained that he and a co-worker he described as a “threat” decided to target the barber shop as part of an ongoing feud.

“Threat and I blew up Rich Homie Quan’s father’s barber shop in Bankhead. It had nothing to do with him personally, but we needed to send a message that we were not the ones to be played with… We were not the ones to be played with, and we wanted to make it clear that we were not. People should mess with us or try to test our loyalty.

When asked about the motive behind the attack, Woody revealed that it stemmed from anger over the threat against Rich Homie Quan.

“He talked like we were a guy that could play together and I was ready,” Woody testified. He further admitted that he did not question the decision to threaten and continue shooting.

“I wasn’t going to ask any questions. I just said let’s go,” Woody recalled, demonstrating his unwavering loyalty to the threat.

The shooting preceded the murder of Donovan “Nut” Thomas, a key figure whose death has been the focus of the Young Thugs trial.

Lil Woody confirmed the barbershop attack was not related to Thomas’ death.

“I’ve got helicopters for them and we’re ready to show anyone who doubts us that we don’t take this lightly… This is a dispute between me, the threat and them. This has nothing to do with YSL or any of the other bigger brands. This is us and personal vendettas against those who try to pass us by.
