Lil Yachty recently revealed that he leaked Drake’s new collaboration “SuperSoak” due to licensing issues, but sample creator Mr. Hotspot gave them a path to an official release.
Last week, Yachty revealed that the social media influencer refused to clear the sample for religious reasons. Regardless, he received backlash for dropping the song, but Mr. Hotspot doesn’t hold a grudge.
He recently revealed that if the duo re-recorded a kid-friendly version of a clean reference track he sent them, he would clear the track. In a TikTok live broadcast, Mr Hotspot said using clean samples was “good for both their brands”.
“I’m lucky enough to work with kids, so we have to clean up after them,” he explained. “We don’t need kids yelling because they say this or that, you know?”
Mr. Hotspot continued, “It’s the children who really form these views. So if we make sure that these two verses are clear, everyone will be clear and everyone will benefit.”
Mr. Hotspot breaks his silence and says he’s now telling Lil Yachty and Drake to create a clean version of “Supersoak”/”Goodness Gracious” because he works with kids and that’s how he cleaned up the sample and it looks like it’s happening

It’s unclear whether Drake and Lil Yachty will record a clean version. However, Mr. Hotspot is asking fans to be patient as he has just sent them a re-recorded sample.
During a recent appearance on the Flagrant podcast, Lil Yachty explained why he sent the song to streamer Kai Cenat to leak.
“We couldn’t clear the sample, so I asked Kai to play it,” he shared. Yachty also announced that they would not be officially releasing the song. “But it’s everywhere,” he said, adding that Mr. Hot Topic “is like the Christian path… It’s crazy and everyone’s like, ‘Are you serious?'”
