Benny The Butcher has given his fans a treat: a surprise album, his second LP of the year, with the promise of another release in 2024.
On Friday (August 2), Griselda MC announced on social media that in just one week, on August 9, he will be launching a new project called Summertime Butch.
“I’ve told you three times this year… the streets need something!!!” he began.
“Because I love you, summer is not over yet, the whole plan of “SummerTime Butch” on August 9th surprised MF, tell them I said the butcher is coming!!! 8/9 Be prepared.

“Summertime Butch” follows Benny’s January 2024 release “Everybody Can’t Go.” Guest stars on the project include Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Stove God Cooks, Jadakiss, Babyface Ray and more; as well as Griselda stalwarts Armani Caesar, Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine.
“The 12-cut pack is a mixture of sharp digital beats and eloquent mechanical instrumentals, further processed to synthesize hardcore mafia bars,” HipHopDX’s Karan Singh wrote at the time.
“Lyrically, ‘Everybody Can’t Go’ is the latest addition to the empirical evidence of Benny the Butcher’s clever word choice – even when he recites certain themes and concepts, he tells his stories in a way that opens up new perspectives.
“While many of the Buffalo Spitter’s peers still struggle to maintain their identities while commanding attention, he has made a dominant brand in yesterday’s hip-hop scene a niche within the current landscape and ensured that all Fans of all ages turn to his team whenever they are interested.
“Perseverance is at the heart of this album, and even as he moves forward, Benny has clearly never forgotten where he came from… Will the larger commercial space and the current generation of kids who preside over it accept this album yet?” That remains to be seen. , but the good news is that Hip Hop is in good hands with The Butcher.
