Cardi B is having some issues with an “exclusive source” who has been leaking details about her impending divorce from Offset.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to the comments section of Jasmine Brand’s Instagram post on Saturday (August 3) to respond to a summary of a recent People magazine article.
The article, published on Friday (August 2), cited an “exclusive source” and gave insight into why Cardi filed for divorce from her husband earlier this week.
A source told People: “As a mother, she expected her partner to give it all and put family first. That just didn’t happen. Overall, he just wasn’t as supportive of her as her husband. Her All you need in life is good vibes and positive energy.
Cardi disputed this, writing in the comments: “Well this is getting weird because I can tell he helps me a lot with my business and my kids.”
She continued, disputing the suggestion that People’s sources had any inside information.
“No matter what I’ve been through in my career, I’ve never had friends or family go to the media, so I have no idea who the source of this damn People magazine is,” she continued.
“Even with my padding, I would not be asking for child support, my request would be for him to only pay the bills he already pays for the kids and the new kids.”

News of Cardi and Offset’s divorce were reported by TMZ on Thursday (August 1), with the outlet claiming that the Bronx rap star’s decision had nothing to do with cheating rumors that have plagued their seven-year relationship.
A source close to the couple said the divorce filing “has been a long time coming” and that Cardi and Offset have simply been estranged for some time.
The hip-hop power couple tried to reconcile earlier this year but failed to resolve their issues, the insider added.
While the divorce has been described as amicable, Cardi has reportedly hired a high-profile divorce lawyer and is seeking primary custody of their two children, Couture, six, and Wave, two. .
The couple married in September 2017 after dating for a few months, but their honeymoon was soon rocked by a cheating scandal after Offset was seemingly photographed naked with another woman.
Cardi later filed for divorce in 2020, but eventually withdrew.
