Kamala Harris drew an audience of more than 10,000 to the Georgia Convention Center on July 30, 2024, using the power of hip-hop to engage young voters in her presidential campaign against Donald Trump.
Migos rapper Quavo opened the rally, highlighting key issues and encouraging voter participation. Quavo spoke passionately to the audience, focusing on his commitment to ending gun violence.
“One of the things I’ve learned in working with Vice President Harris is that she’s always down to earth,” Quavo declared. He praised Harris for her proactive steps, saying: “From inviting me to the White House last year to discuss these solutions, to today passing the most important gun safety law.”
Quavo’s heartfelt speech ended with a call to action: “So if you’ve never voted before, make sure you go out and vote now because this is real voting.”
Megan Thee Stallion added energy to the atmosphere with a performance of her hit song “Girls in the Hood.” Wearing a tight blue pantsuit and a crop top, she twerked and showed off her toned figure.
Megan thee Stallion also debuted her “Hotties for Harris” campaign aimed at mobilizing young voters.
“I know very well that the path to the White House is in this state, you all helped us win in 2020 and we will win again in 2024,” Kamala Harris told attendees.
Harris emphasized her administration’s commitment to gun safety: “Those of us who believe in living free from gun violence will ultimately pass universal background checks, red flag laws, and assault weapons bans.”
The event is intended to showcase Harris’ broad appeal, especially among young and diverse voters, as she builds momentum for her presidential bid.
The rally drew mixed reactions on X.com. Most critics claimed that the crowd was there to see Meghan, not Kamala. Right-leaning men can’t stand Meg’s dancing.
Why did “Megan Thee Stallion” twerk on stage at the Kamala event?
Thank God we don’t have to see this garbage at Trump rallies. pic.twitter.com/7O25ORryOG

Imagine attending a presidential event representing black women and your only instinct is to start twerking 💀. This is really disappointing pic.twitter.com/mDErfdYMZG

Twerking to get votes. Our country has hit rock bottom. No grand speeches, no grand vision, no command of the issues, no. Twerking. That’s it.

Just for Meghan, haha. to be honest. She has been on stage as long, if not as long, as Kalama or whatever her name is.
