Pulis went live on Instagram on July 24, claiming that black voters, especially women, have long supported white men at the polls. Pulis began by dismissing the debate over whether America is ready for a black female president. “Is America here yet?” he asked sarcastically. “It’s not about America having things happen over there. It’s about whether we have things happening over there.” The rapper went on to cite the support male candidates have received over the decades, claiming it’s now time for their turn There are female candidates. “After all these years, a woman can vote for a damn man,” he pointed out. “Especially women of color were able to vote for white people.”

Pulis’s music may not suggest political activism, but his stance has been very clear over the years. He expressed his support for Barack Obama back in the ’00s and even released a song called “Obama Forward” in 2012.
