Last year, Ratto was pulled over by police after running a red light, and the entire incident was captured on the officer’s body camera.
The previously unreported traffic jam occurred in the early morning hours of September 28, 2023, as the “Big Mama” rapper was leaving an Atlanta nightclub after celebrating a friend’s birthday.
Body camera footage shows police pulling Lato, whose real name is Alyssa Stephens, over and ordering the rapper and her security to stay inside a yellow Lamborghini SUV.
When questioned by police (who didn’t know she was a famous rapper), Lato insisted she just wanted to “get home quickly” to avoid being followed by fans who might recognize her car.
Police suspected Lato might be drunk, so they gave the rapper a breathalyser test, which she passed after denying drinking before driving.
Although Rato was not driving under the influence, he was still ticketed for running a red light.
Lato previously revealed that she was once arrested for carrying a loaded gun into an airport.
“Going to LAX, my Birk was locked with a Glock 17 in it and was released a few hours later lmaooo booked a $75,000 flight to my show in Alabama but Still arrived on time! [exhausted emoji] There is no limit to my rapping,” she tweeted last March.
Legal drama aside, Lato has recently downplayed her rivalry with Ice Spice, after the two rap stars seemed to spend months taking shots at each other.
When asked if she would have a real feud with the “Monk” hitmaker like Kendrick Lamar and Drake, Lato told Billboard: “I mean it in the best possible way [way]: I am a music fan.
“I’m not a ‘lyrical and all else bullshit’ kind of guy. There’s a lot of sub-genres that I like – like the Mosh Pit type of music. I like when Drake’s in his melodic bag This type of shit is still hip-hop.
She continued: “If I were to do [a battle], it had to be someone I felt I would be going toe-to-toe with. I don’t really mean it’s a shade. Is she even willing to do this?
“I feel like she’s in her lane doing her thing. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she would have given me the feeling of, ‘Oh, she wants to get involved in a real rap beef.’
