Cardi B has responded to Joe Budden’s recent apology, noting that the media figure has been “changing his tone” toward her.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday (July 20) to reference a video of Budden apologizing.

“I love you so much Joe, but your tone towards me has changed so much over the past three years, both musically and personally,” she wrote. “Like last December my marriage went through a real… Like shit you’re on your platform trying to tell other people and what’s going on with them…

“I know the criticism comes from this area, but sometimes the narrative is so toxic that you decide to run. See you soon, it’s all love.”

In Budden’s video, he said: “Cardi is on my list of people I will love no matter what. If I’ve ever made a joke that offended Cardi B, I’m sorry.

Earlier this week, Cardi B slammed Budden for his comments about her career, as well as his numerous criticisms of Drake.

Issues between the pair resurfaced when the former Slaughterhouse rapper claimed on his eponymous podcast that Cardi would never release the follow-up to her 2018 debut album Invasion of Privacy .

“We’ll never get another album. I stand by that […] There’s something going on between Cady and my man Rob.[49] Friday — that’s going to be crazy,” he said, referring to their “On Dat Money” collaboration. “But that’s what Cardi is going to do now, just be a solo artist.”

He added: “I’m sure Offset wants Cardi to put out an album. Hey guys, boyfriends, you all know that feeling right? When you want your bitch to get a job. You’re in the house, your bitch won’t leave […] “Don’t you have an album to make? Don’t you have a single?

Cardi was quick to respond on X Spaces, claiming she gave Joe Budden a lap dance during her past days as a stripper and witnessed him taking drugs.

“I gave you two lap dances in the fucking starlet. You were so fucking high. As high as a coke, n-gga. I could smell the coke on your breath,” she said.

“I don’t care when people say bad things about me,” she continued. “The fact is you always say bad things about me, Joe Budden. Out of nowhere! You might think I did something to this n-gga. For the past two years, this n-gga has only said bad things about me. Why?”

“I’m not fucking Drake, n-gga. I can’t write a good paragraph. I’m coming for you to polish your head.

The Bronx rap star went on to criticize the podcaster for “hating” Drake, citing his suggestion that 6 God was forced to tour relentlessly as part of his $400 million deal with Universal Music Group.

“You gave up on your passion. I won’t give up, brother,” she continued. “Stop being a fucking hater. If someone makes a deal for $400 million and you’re talking about, ‘Well, yeah, they have to tour, this and that.

“N-gga, if someone gave me $400 million – $400 million you don’t have, I’d keep touring until I’m 65. Everything someone does is good, you always hate it. That sucks ,terrible.

After Cardi fired back, Budden initially said he would never cover her music again, but later issued a rare apology.
