Pop Smoak’s mother has spoken out against being interviewed, saying it’s “terrible” that her son’s alleged killer is being thrust into the spotlight.
Audrey Jackson spoke with TMZ on Thursday (July 18) and shared her thoughts on the media requests King “Blockstar” Raskel has received.
She said, “This is terrible for something like this. Do you really want to interview him and get his opinion, understand where he stands? First of all, you’re not a helper. The whole purpose of L.A. Law is, at 25 When you’re old, you go out and try to do something for yourself, you try to do something with your life and hopefully make some kind of revolution, but when you come out, people are like, ‘Yo, man. ! How do you feel about what you’re doing? This isn’t helpful to anyone. Are you going to share the gag order with me? I’m going to look into it because it makes sense to me.

Pop Smoak’s murder made headlines again when King Raskel was released from custody earlier this month.
In an interview clip posted to Instagram by No Jumper, Blockstar, who was 15 at the time of the 2020 murders, told Adam22 that he has no regrets about the incident.
“I don’t regret anything,” Blockstar said. “This should never have happened, but I don’t regret it. If I could go back, I would go back. But I don’t regret it. People die every day. [Pop Smoke] is rapping about it. All types of stuff. So, I have no regrets about that.
“My condolences to the family. I wish it had never happened. But I don’t regret anything. Growing up, my people, my family, told me, ‘You don’t regret anything. No matter what you do Whatever, you do it for a reason and stick to it.
Jackson made “disrespectful” comments while Raskel sat down with Hot 97’s TT Torez. Jackson was asked if he admitted he felt no remorse over the death of the 20-year-old rapper four years ago.
She admitted that she deliberately did not watch the interview, saying: “I don’t like this. It’s not part of my world. Some people will come up to me and ask: ‘Have you heard of it?’ ” They would hit me and say, ‘Mom, are you okay?
Jackson continued, “I had a feeling when you said he was disrespecting me because I was told he was being interviewed all the time and being disrespectful. I have to let it go because that’s going to eat away at me. I have to let it go.
“The bottom line is, your life is over. His life is over. He’s still alive, but if that’s the attitude of what he did, then his life is over.
