Big Sean appears to be taking a shot at Kanye West in a new improv style on On the Radar Radio.
Based on Aaliyah’s classic hit “If Your Girl Only Knew,” the Detroit rapper began the jam by seemingly referencing Ye’s disparaging comments about him during a 2021 Drink Champs episode, in which he expressed his relationship with Signing Sean to GOOD Music was the “worst” thing he has ever done.
“I had to change the home team because they committed treason,” he said. “N-ggas seek engagement like they’re on their knees/I’ve got better things to do than find someone to complain about.”
Sean later dished: “Man this industry sucks, I can’t even vouch/I’ve seen grown men get matching tattoos for clout.”
The lyrics are an even more obvious dig at Kanye, who in 2022 has the same tattoo as Lil Uzi Vert and Steve Lacy.
Sean also hung a Dilla hat on the mic stand at the end of the show, performing a freestyle tribute to Aaliyah, whom he described as a “true Detroit legend,” as well as Motown icon J Dilla.

While some speculated that Big Sean’s bar was actually aimed at Kendrick Lamar, with whom he also had a contentious relationship, DJ Hed confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the The Compton rapper wasn’t the target.
“I talked to Sean. The bar was ‘I have better things to do before I have someone to complain to.’ “This doesn’t suit Dot,” the Bigger Picture co-host wrote. “Barr is targeting another Gemini.”
Sean himself later addressed the freestyle on social media, writing in a since-deleted post: “Fuck these motherfuckers, every one of them.”
In another tweet, he added: “You guys have so many narratives and I’m talking to people who hate me and they just keep looking for something to point out that they don’t like me. Even though I’m only focused on music, this is even Not worth explaining.
Big Sean, who seems to be on better terms with Kanye West as of late, previewed an unreleased collaboration with Chicago rap legend Kanye West, which he hinted at The collaboration will see Ty Dolla $ign appear in the long-delayed Condor 2.
Sean also promised that he’ll be putting out new music this week in preparation for the release of his new album, after appearing on Eminem’s “Toby” with Detroit native BabyTron.
