Eminem gave fans a PSA on how to listen to his album The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce) when it drops tomorrow.
Eminem explains how listeners should listen to his new album
Eminem took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday (July 11) to reveal more details about his highly anticipated new record. In the tweet below, Slim Shady briefly describes his new project. He also stated that if the listener follows the track list accurately, they will understand the basic themes of the album.
“Public Service Announcement: ‘Death of Slim Shady’ is a concept album,” he wrote. “So if you listen to the songs out of order, they might not make sense. Enjoy.”
Eminem’s new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce), will be released on Friday (July 12). So far, he has released two singles out of 20 tracks, “Houdini” and “Tobey,” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron. It will also include a sequel to the 1999 song “Guilty Conscience.”

Eminem prepares to release new album
Dr. Dre announced Em’s new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coupe de Grâce), on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Back in March. Slim Shady later confirmed the news, promoting the arrival with newspaper obituaries and a true-crime themed trailer. The album’s lead single, “Houdini,” was released in late May. Meanwhile, the record’s second single “Tobey,” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron, dropped on July 5.
On July 10, Eminem uploaded the trailer of “The Death of Slim Shady” (Coupe de Grâce) on YouTube, keeping fans highly anticipated. In the visual below, the 15-time Grammy winner can be seen with a tombstone that appears to mark his retirement from the hip-hop industry. It read: “Dear rival. Slim Shady. 1997-2024. It feels so empty without him.”
