Lil Wayne and GloRilla formed an unlikely friendship after meeting at a white party hosted by billionaire Michael Rubin in the Hamptons.
In a video posted on Instagram over the weekend, Weezy recounted his experience at the 4th of July bash, which also included JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Drake, Travis Scott , Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady, among others.
Despite the star-studded guest list, the Young Rich legend singled out Glo for being “the only one who came up to me and yelled at me.”
The “FNF” rapper returned the love on Monday (July 8) by retweeting a clip of Wayne’s comments on X (formerly Twitter), while writing, “I love Wayne [three heart emojis] Favorite rapper of all time.
Tunechi responded in turn: “Thank you @GloTheofficial [hang loose emoji]”.

GloRilla has been a fan of Lil Wayne for a long time. During an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast earlier this year, she included the New Orleans native on her list of Mount Rushmore rappers.
“I’m only 24, so I can’t say anything about any rappers that came before me because I don’t know their music,” she said, before adding: “So, I would say Lil Wayne. I think Lil Wayne is One of the best rappers in the world. […] Chief Keef. Drake. slim Shady. And JAY-Z.
In addition to Wayne, the popular producer of “Tomorrow 2” also has many well-known fans. Earlier this month, Rihanna DM’d the rising star on Instagram with burning questions about her new album.
“Sister, you have the whole summer! I know this is hypocritical, but when will the album be released?” the Barbadian beauty wrote in the message, admitting that she has been waiting for her next project for a long time.
Glo shared the personal message while reflecting on her appearance at the 2024 BET Awards but didn’t reveal her response to the “Umbrella” singer.
RiRi also recently showed off her GloRilla fans by filming herself dancing to the rapper’s hit single “TGIF.”
In the video, she lip-syncs and launches into the catchy line, “It’s Friday night at 7/It’s 95 degrees/I ain’t n-gga, no n-gga ain’t got me,” as the camera pans to her boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
Confused and amused by his partner’s energy, the Harlem rapper hilariously responded: “Where’s my drink, man? I’m too old for this.
