It’s official: Snoop Dogg is heading to the Paris Olympics as a reporter for NBC News.
We all remember Snoop’s hilarious Olympic comments with Kevin Hart on the streaming service Peacock during the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where Snoop said a horse in the dressage competition looked like it was limping. Thanks in part to this, the legendary rapper has been hired as a special correspondent for the Paris Olympics, which kick off next month (the opening ceremony will be held on July 26).
In an interview with Time magazine, Snoop talked about his memories of watching the Olympics, being excited about the upcoming show, smoking marijuana during sports and more.
“That’s all we had then. Unlike now, where you can watch so many different things, and social media and all this stuff. We just had TV. There was only one TV in the house, so no matter what one member of the family was watching , what makes the Olympics so big is that whenever it comes, it takes up the whole house because you see the athletes for the first time in three or four years, and they represent the country. .so it meant a lot to watch it as a kid.
When asked why he decided to join, he said: “Why not? Not why. It’s what I do, you know what I’m saying? I love being in front of people. I love sports. I know I’m in What to say. The power of the Internet is enough to make us realize that we deserve each other, so we create magic.
Snoop said he would also try to meet the viral horse that he said was lame walking in Tokyo. “Yes, I do want to meet him. Hopefully he can make it to the Olympics so I can ask, ‘What happened?’ “Give him. Give him some carrots, some apples or whatever, you know what I’m saying?”
Snoop says he has no plans to take drugs in Paris. “Oh, no. I plan on going out there and doing NBC Olympic work. Clean as a book, clean as an athlete. They can test me if they want. I’m going to be there doing what I’m supposed to do to make sure I bring the gold medal Go home. Which is me.
