Funkmaster Flex questions whether the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is a lyrical battle or a marketing ploy.

Funkmaster Flex Asks Kendrick Lamar and Drake Beef

Funk Flex took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday (June 20), the day after Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out – Ken & Friends concert. Instead of celebrating the show, Flex questioned the significance of K-Dot and Drizzy’s feud from the beginning.

“I have a Drake/Kendrick problem. Is this a lyrical match?” he opined. “Or a marketing/career reboot? What are the rules of lyrical combat do I need to know?”

Fans mostly took to Flex’s comments to express support for K-Dot, who performed Drake’s diss “Not Like Us” five times on Pop Out last week.

Funkmaster Flex announces Drake as winner

After Flakes declared Drizzy the winner in an interview with Abbro Darden in May, his attitude changed.

“Drake is the winner so far for me,” Flex said, praising “Push Up.” “That comeback was great. He didn’t waste any weight there… It was an amazing comeback. It was an amazing comeback.”

Flex is in the minority here, as after the release of Not Like Us, the vast majority declared K-Dot the winner. Kendrick’s The Pop Out – Ken & Friends concert also rubbed some salt in Drake’s wounds, as he also performed “6:16 in LA” and changed some of the lyrics to “Euphoria,” again diss Drake.

“I know they call you ‘boy,’ but where’s the man? / Cause I ain’t seen him yet / Call me Tupac back and I might give you a little respect,” Kendrick raps to the pop tune.

The original lyrics were: “I know they call you boy, but where’s the man? / ‘Cause I haven’t seen him yet / In fact I haven’t even bled him yet, can I bleed him?” ?

Kendrick isn’t quite done yet, as he was spotted filming the music video for “Not Like Us” in his hometown of Compton over the weekend.
