Rihanna shot down retirement rumors at the Fenty Hair launch party in Los Angeles on Monday (June 10). The diamond-selling superstar told Entertainment Tonight that she wasn’t trying to send a message to her fans by wearing an “I’m retired” shirt.
“People are triggered by this word that has been retired,” she said. “They said, ‘We’re never going to get the album now.'” No one read the other line, which read, ‘This is how I dress best.’
Rihanna was photographed wearing the shirt by paparazzi in New York on June 6. Fans focused on the “I’m retired” part and ignored the rest of the shirt’s slogan: “This is My dressing up.

Rihanna’s fans are becoming increasingly frustrated with the wait for her ninth studio album. The singer admitted she went back to her roots with the project, which will be her first since 2016’s “Anti.”
“I think music was a new discovery for me,” she told ET. “I’m rediscovering some things. I’ve been working on this album for so long that I put all that stuff aside and now I’m ready to get back in the studio. I’m going to start – wait a minute !
She added: “I’m going to start over. But I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to things with new ears, a new perspective, and see what works and what I still love of.
Motherhood has been Rihanna’s top priority in recent years. She welcomed two children with partner A$AP Rocky and envisions more in the future.
“I hope so,” she said when asked about expanding her family. “I do. I’m not pregnant, and if that’s what you’re asking…” I would definitely have more babies. “
Rihanna gave birth to her first child in 2022.
