Sean Kingston took to Instagram on Wednesday (June 5) to celebrate his release from prison. The embattled singer thanked his fans, lawyers and more as he faces multi-million dollar fraud charges.
“It’s good to be home!” he wrote. “A special thank you to God, my family, my friends and my legal team… Robert Rosenblatt, James Stark, Mark Geragos, Zelika Bozanik, Pierre ·Bolas. I can’t forget my fans, thank you for your love and support!
Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, were arrested in May in connection with the fraudulent scheme. Kingston was detained in California and extradited to Florida. His mother was arrested after her home in Florida was attacked.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office charged the pair with stealing about $500,000 worth of jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade worth about $160,000, a custom bed worth just over $86,000, and stealing from a bank of over $300,000. Kingston was charged with 10 counts, including organized fraud and theft.

Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, was released on $100,000 bail on Tuesday (June 4). He reportedly used his own mortgage as collateral. His mother was released from jail a week ago and posted $160,000 bail in May. She faces eight charges for her alleged role in the fraud scheme.
Robert Rosenblatt, one of Kingston’s attorneys, insists his client did not commit any crime.
“I don’t know who is claiming they are owed money,” Rosenblatt told CBS Miami. “We know about the problem with the watch and we know about the problem with the TV.”
He added, “If there are other issues that I’m not sure about… that’s a breach of contract. There was no fraud here. There was no organized fraud at all.
Rosenblatt said he was “very confident” Kingston’s charges would ultimately be dismissed.
