Bobby Shmurda claims he was banned from DSP for this

Bobby Shmurda believes he would have gone further in his music career if he had painted his nails like some of his peers.

The Brooklyn rapper posted a photo on Instagram without nail polish on Sunday (June 2), urging fans to stop asking him to release music because he feels the game is rigged in favor of likes Men participating in androgynous activities.

“Don’t ever make me give up on music, American DSP and the music blogs they own won’t allow the real Boardman to appear on playlists because I can’t paint my fingers,” he said. “So that’s no big deal. Pointless, so until people do something about who owns, runs and manages these platforms.

You can check out the post below.

Earlier this year, Bobby Shmurda accused a former business partner of launching a harmful “campaign” against him.

In February, the rapper posted a riff on Meek Mill’s “#RapTherapy” on Instagram. He built the article around part of his introductory monologue: “These are propaganda campaigns. They’ll pay 1,000 people to go online and post negative information about something, because they know that if that thing is discovered, What it really does is offset their profits.

He provided context in the caption, writing: “To all of you who are in the business of advertising products or marketing and endorsements, and to all of you who don’t know what that means, it’s all aspects of the (entertainment) business. Now, if You want to get information from it, that’s how you read the web.

“So that’s why someone is going to try to assassinate your character if you don’t work with them on a product anymore, because once someone finds out who you are, they’re going to make a bunch of money and they’re going to miss that opportunity.”

The post may have been a response to an incident at a London club a week earlier, where Bobby was due to perform but a scuffle broke out after just a few songs.

A man identified as a nightclub promoter had a relationship with the New Yorker, which ended with him spitting on a patron at the club. Soon after, the host and his staff were kicked out of the club.

No charges were filed and after they left, the night continued as planned.

It’s unclear whether the incident was part of a larger promotional campaign that Shmurda mentioned in his post.
