50 Cent claims a hacker made $300 million in just 30 minutes after hacking into the rapper’s website and social media accounts to promote cryptocurrencies.

50 Cent claims hackers made $300 million

On Friday (June 21), 50 Cent took to Instagram to clarify that he has no affiliation with the $GUNIT cryptocurrency that his website and X account promoted earlier today. Fif added that it was the work of a hacker who defrauded 50 followers of a considerable amount of money.

“My Twitter and Thisis 50.com were hacked and I have nothing to do with this cryptocurrency,” he wrote on Instagram. “Twitter locked my account very quickly. Who did this? 30 minutes Made $300 million in just one year.”

There are screenshots on Instagram of the $GUNIT cryptocurrency, which started with a market capitalization of less than $1 million but quickly soared.

50 Cent admits he never made a fortune from Bitcoin

50 Cent has been part of the cryptocurrency trend. Back in 2018, the G-Unit leader responded to a TMZ report claiming that Fif had made millions thanks to his early start on the Bitcoin craze. The power mogul also offered it to fans as a payment option for his Animal Ambition album that year. The report states that 50 people sold approximately 700 Bitcoins, with each Bitcoin being valued at approximately $662 at the time. The Queens rapper reportedly earns between $7 million and $8.5 million.

However, shortly after the report was published, 50 said that was not the case. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the rapper must answer for the reported amount in bankruptcy court and denies ever owning or using Bitcoin. 50 Cent said he did accept Bitcoin as payment, but it never brought him any money.
