21 Savage has a new album out, What Happened To The Streets , which means he’s once again making his presence felt and speaking out in the media world. This is great news for fans because you can finally hear the voice of one of the most elusive rappers currently working.
Interestingly, 21 Savage has insight into the Drake-Metro-Kendrick dynamic, which he discussed on a new episode of Perspektives With Bank. At one point, 21 Savage talked about how he asked Drake not to engage Kendrick in a fight — but Drake participated anyway because he felt he was “lyrically challenged.”
More importantly, he also talked about Metro Boomin’s relationship with Drake and where the two stand now in their personal and professional lives. He revealed that Drake had apologized to Metro “many times” in the past for things that didn’t sit well with Metro – and Metro didn’t have time to accept his apology.
Nonetheless, he also talked about Metro being more open-minded now and that he might even work with Drake again “in the near future.” The rapper also spoke compassionately about how hard life was for Metro Boomin and he understands where it comes from.
