Young Thug uses Instagram live to convey a passionate message about transformation and recovery, marking the end of what he calls the YSL chapter and the beginning of a new path forward.

Atlanta rappers speak directly to their audience with uncooked emotions and clarity, urging people not to let their past define them.

“Don’t let anyone tell you that you are not good enough, you are not smart enough,” he said. “Don’t let anyone make you feel that your mistake defines who you are.”

Live as a personal sermon, the young thug reflects on hardships, loyalty and self-worth.

“Brother, never let the hard times be humble.” “If you are king, be king. If you are queen, be queen.”

He stressed the importance of self-priority and warned against blind loyalty. “Unless you 100% know that one person will do the same for you, don’t publicly represent people and do something,” he said.

The quote comes a few months after a high-profile blackmailing board case in Georgia. Prosecutors accused him and others of operating the violent gang under the guise of recording label YSL records.

He pleaded guilty to six charges including drug and gun ownership and defended the gang and blackmail charges.

Thugger was sentenced to 40 years in prison and served five years in prison. After spending more than 900 days in prison, he was released and sentenced to 15 years of probation.

The full trial of 28 defendants initially involved, with the scale of several co-defendants accepting plea deals decreased. Despite the efforts of the prosecutor, no murder conviction was convicted.

During the live broadcast, the thug made it clear that he was ready to turn the page.

“That chapter is closed, I’m done,” he said. “I’m going to get better, you know. I want to be a better man, I know, my kids, my family, a few friends I get, man. I just want to be a better partner, man, I want to live better.”

The speech coincides with the release of his fourth studio album, Uy Scuti, which dropped on September 26, 2025.

The project features future, 21 Savage, Cardi B, Travis Scott and Scientist appearances and is produced from London at Metro Boomin and DA Track.

The reactions to the album are mixed together. Some critics praised his emotional weight, especially tracks like “Sad Slime,” while others questioned whether his creative spark was dim.

The album’s cover shows a white version of The Thug, which also sparked criticism and sparked debate online.

The live broadcast of the young thug ends with hopeful notes.

“It’s a wonderful life. God has given us this beautiful earth and I think we have to be happy because we’ve only been on the earth for so long.” “And it’s much better. Every day is going to be better. Peace, man.”
