Wearing a Jesus mask, Ye spoke of his “intellectual genius” in a convoluted 2021 lawsuit deposition interview.
Ye appeared in court to testify
On Wednesday (December 18), A&E shared a trailer for their new series Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Vows, an extension of their show Interrogation Raw. The new version offers a sneak peek of Ye’s testimony in 2021 after being sued by MyChannel in 2020 for allegedly stealing technology for its Yeezy brand. In the video below, Ye is on a Zoom call. He was first sworn in and then asked not to use his cellphone during his testimony.
“Because of my intellectual genius, in order to focus on this crap, I need to be on the phone,” Ye countered.
After agreeing to hang up, Ye immediately put on a mask with an image of Jesus. He was asked again about this strange behavior.
“Because you have no right to see my face,” Ye replied.
“Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath” will premiere on December 26 at 10pm ET.

In August 2020, MyChannel sued Mr. Ye for breach of mutual confidentiality agreement, unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty, etc. MyChannel claims Ye has committed millions of dollars to their company to help upgrade the e-commerce portion of its Yeezy brand. However, the lawsuit alleges that Ye never delivered on his promise and instead used the company’s technology to promote the launch of his Sunday service. In September 2021, both parties decided to dismiss the case.
Here’s a look at Ye’s strange behavior during his 2021 lawsuit deposition.
