Ye took his Condor 2 listening sessions to China, where he continues to criticize his former employer, Adidas.
During the “Vulture 2” event, Ye extended his middle finger and the crowd chanted “F**k Adidas”
On Sunday (September 15), Ye and partner Ty Dolla $ign brought their Vultures 2 listening party to Hainan Island, China. During his performance, the Chicago multi-hyphenate paused briefly to quench his thirst with a sip of water. The crowd stood stoically and began chanting “F**k Adidas” throughout the venue.
In the viral clip below, Ye appears to acknowledge the audience’s collective disdain for the sneaker brand. The Grammy-winning rapper raised his hand in the air and extended his middle finger, eliciting “Oooos” from the crowd.
For those who don’t know, China has very strict obscenity laws and the middle finger may be considered obscene by the Chinese government.
“I hope that’s okay,” Ye said before launching into his next song, the anthem “All Falls Down” from his 2004 The College Dropout album.
Additionally, Ye previewed a new song for Chinese audiences, which can be seen below.

Ye’s distaste for Adidas is no secret
It won’t surprise anyone that Ye doesn’t like Adidas. The sneaker and apparel company severed its relationship with the rapper and producer in October 2022 after he made anti-Semitic comments for a month. Since leaving the Three Stripes, Ye has criticized Adidas for allegedly copying the iconic design of his Yeezy shoes through their own flagship shoes.
In August 2024, at the Vultures 2 Experience event in South Korea, Ye chanted “f**k Adidas” along with the audience before singing “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” from his 2007 graduation album. Video of that moment can be watched below.
