What is certain is that “the Wu Tang family is useless”, they did do it again. The legendary crew is back in the music, just released the number 8 track “Bastard Swordsman” of the math-produced album Black Samson. Yes, it is the same artist who designed the iconic Wu Tang logo.
The track is called “The Warrior Two, Curly Gou” and features a rare collaboration between the flesh-handed and the butcher Benny. The song begins with the classic Wu Tank Trick (A Ship), which brings listeners into the action first, which is presented by two truly tough hosts. Essentially, as one would expect, collaboration represents a true journey of boom bap sound over time, ultimately topped with classic hip-hop records.
The song only appeared a week after Wu Tang Clan’s NYC Listening Party, which has been celebrating and showing the album to the exclusive crowd at IMI Studios. Some of the names that attended the conference include hip-hop historian Shaheem Reid, Shade 45 host DJ Dstroy and WorldStarhiphop Chief Creative Officer and Content Manager Jr Romantiko.
Now, with the taste tests developed by the latest song, the album can be heard in full on April 25, which is originally scheduled to be played worldwide. Although, the physical release of LP can be accessed as early as April 12 as part of the limited edition record store Day Drop. Check out the song below!
