Soulja Boy is on trial for a lawsuit accused of rape and kidnapping. Now, the alleged victim is asking the jury to award her $73.6 million in damages.
If found guilty, Soulja Boy may have to pay the price
Over the past month, Soulja Boy adapted and showed his face in court to tell his story against a woman who accused him of his outrageous crimes. The accused demanded to remain anonymous in court lawsuits, claiming she was raped, beaten and imprisoned by a rapper while hiring his personal assistant. Her attorneys ended the debate on the civil trial, and her attorneys asked Soulja Boy to pay the woman $73.6 million despite his denial of any misconduct.
Ron Zambrano, the victim’s attorney, did not back down when describing what Soulja Boy allegedly did to her. “He raped her,” Zambrano explained. “He punched her. He kicked her. He cut her. He pointed a Draco gun at her. He locked her in her room… He told her, ‘I hope you die slowly.'”
If the jury decides to favor the Money Award, Soulja’s legal team can appeal. “If you don’t trust my client, don’t give her a dollar,” Zambrano said. “But if you do believe her, give her everything.”
Soulja Boy’s attorney Rickey Ivie issued a statement to XXL at the request of the women’s jury. “Just as her allegations were unfounded and unfounded, her claim for damages was seriously exaggerated,” he said.
On January 21, 2021, Soulja was sued in Los Angeles Superior Court by an anonymous former female employee who has worked with him since 2018. In addition to the horrible allegations, she claimed that he never paid any salary after agreeing to $500 a week. Soon in 2019, they were involved in a romantic relationship, which turned into abuse. She claimed that the only money she received was $1,000 as “re regret” and he allegedly raped her.
“Once the defendant’s method [Soulja Boy] “Her head struggled so hard on her head, just woke up in a locked bedroom without mattresses, food or water,” the lawsuit read.
The trial began on March 13 and included both parties jabs at details he said about their relationship and work environment. Soulja declares his innocence and insists that he never touches a woman in a way that hurts her. The fluctuating text he sent to the woman was discussed in court, but rhyme said they were not trying to threaten or violently. Although Soulja admits that the relationship is mutual, he denied that she had ever hired as his personal assistant.
