Will Ferrell Bringing his signature humor to an unexpectedly serious setting: the O.J. Simpson trial.
The famous comedian and actor revealed on Graham Norton that he and his improv troupe were invited to perform skits for the jury during the 1995 trial when Simpson faced murder for Nicole The country was captivated by the accusations against Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Ferrell described the surreal experience of recreationally sequestered jurors, who had limited exposure to the outside world during the grueling months of the trial.
“I was doing improv at the Ground Theater in Los Angeles while OJ Simpson’s trial is ongoing. “Ferrell shared with Norton. “The jury was quarantined for a long time and couldn’t go anywhere, so someone came up with the idea of performing our sketch for them on the court to lighten the mood. “
The Host actor admits that while it’s a rare opportunity, the situation isn’t exactly comedy gold for the performers.
“It was just us and the jurors,” Will Ferrell said. “They seemed pretty tame, but it was weird.”
Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon are promoting their upcoming comedy To Corce Tamper Incorly Incorly Tamper, which is set to be released on January 30. They reveal their on-screen characters as they reflect on their past brush with the justice system.
