K-Dot triumphed at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 1), taking home five trophies. The rapper from Compton, California, accentuated his outfit by wearing a suit, boots and a bandanna that he usually wears under his boxing gloves. A subtle touch could mean something is going on.
Dave Free further fueled speculation by sharing a close-up photo of Kendrick’s hand wrap on his Instagram Story. Hitta J3 also shared a video clip from boxer Roy Jones Jr.’s 2020 documentary on IG with the caption: “Message from Boogeyman.”
In the days since, fans have been speculating about what it all might mean.
“I could be wrong, but I feel like the bandaged hand is some kind of nod to his next project,” someone speculated on X.
