Meek Mill may be replacing viral moments with risky conversations on LinkedIn.
Meek Mill may be bringing his talents from the timeline to the boardroom. The Philly rapper may be trying to control the narrative rather than go with the flow.
People were surprised when the Dream Chasers boss popped up all over LinkedIn. Yes, LinkedIn. This is where corporate America goes to update resumes and celebrate promotions. Now, it’s gaining a level of hip-hop ambition.
Mick introduced himself like a man about to perform his second act on the platform.
He wrote: “Starting my Linkedin journey as an artist, I spent a lot of time honing my creative skills. Now, I’m ready to transition into the business world and showcase my true potential. For a long time, others have been speaking on my behalf, but now I’m taking the power, with the support of a strong team, to speak for myself.”
This reads like a mission statement.
If you’ve ever followed Mick’s journey, this shouldn’t come as a complete shock.
He has been active in business and politics for years, especially after his public criminal justice reform efforts. But this feels different. It feels like he’s trying to reposition himself as a thinker and strategist rather than just a rapper who occasionally talks business.
He also makes a very interesting criticism of social media platforms, arguing that artists are trapped in systems they have no control over. Mick said: “Would I be on Linkedin or something because I don’t know what’s going on? We’re basically in a deep matrix trapped between Instagram…
This sounds like someone frustrated with the algorithm and perhaps looking for ownership and equity. Someone once joked about the finger on Twitter…well, no more.
Then he made a startling statement: “Selling music is like delivering psychotropic drugs. Both have the power to affect emotions and thoughts. I found that rap suited me, and I also aspired to attract banks.” Well…
bank? Now, you don’t usually see this word used in rap conversations unless someone is talking about money they already have. So, from here I started to wonder if this is true or not. I mostly wonder because we know he has connections to billionaires.

In another statement, he turned the conversation to reform, something he and other billionaires like Michael Rubin and Jay-Z have been doing.
He also emphasized his focus on social impact, saying: “Criminal justice reform is a topic I am very passionate about growing up within the system. My experiences have given me a unique perspective…”
So what exactly is going on here? Some believe Mick is trying to secure a larger corporate partnership. Others believe he may be preparing to launch new ventures related to technology, finance or fan profile ownership. Some skeptics wonder if this is just a rebranding after a tumultuous few years. Oh, and some people were joking. In this day and age, we must question everything.
Hope it’s really tame…
