Uncle Luke used Mother’s Day Instagram Live to vent child support and family estrangement, claiming his child was alienated from him due to his mother’s influence.
On Sunday (May 11), the head of two field staff claimed that he had paid millions of dollars in child support for his five children – and said the number does not even include attorney fees.
“It’s $2.7 million in child support,” he declared. “Yes, that’s what I paid. Now I get the numbers because I’ve never added it. That doesn’t include paying attorney fees, so that’s over $3 million. Because you have to pay the other party’s attorney’s fees.”
Despite financial commitments, Campbell said he felt alienated from the children and blamed his mother for rejecting them.
He said: “They dared not call me and say ‘Happy Father’s Day’ because M #####################################################################################################
He also questioned his dissatisfaction with his children, saying, “Everyone is angry with me”, before adding that he even suggested that they put down their last name.
“I tell all my kids, if you hate me so much, please change your last name,” Luke added. “No one wants to do that.”
Campbell’s history of child support has legal consequences. In 2019, he was arrested on suspicion of paying more than $10,000.
Despite this, Campbell’s influence in Miami is still undeniable. Earlier this month, Miami City officially renamed Northwest 11th Street and Northwest 58th Street in Liberty City, becoming the “Luther Campbell Road.”
Campbell is a Miami native and hip-hop pioneer who helped shape the genre of Southern voice and had a legal battle in artistic expression.
