Uncle Luke took a swipe at the new generation of rappers in a fiery live stream while giving Drake his thoughts on his recent legal filing.
The legendary Miami rapper didn’t hesitate to criticize today’s rap scene while taking aim at two legal cases Drake filed against Universal Music Group and Spotify over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss song Litigation and shook his head at Drake. While he admits to being a fan of Drake’s music, Luke doesn’t mince words when it comes to the rapper’s recent legal moves. In fact, he initially appeared to be mocking the “I’m On One” hitmaker while a DJ Khaled-produced record played in the background.
“That’s the guy who filed the lawsuit,” Luke said. “I love Drake’s music. I don’t like what he’s doing now, but I love his music.
Luke went on to call out Drake for trying to expose the music industry’s pay issues, as he claimed that UMG and Spotify promoted “Not Like Us” through bots and pay-per-view tactics.
“There are some things you can’t talk about,” he said. “You don’t talk about Paiola. You don’t talk about buying live broadcasts. And you don’t sue after being dissed. And you did do some dissing.
Uncle Luke’s criticism specifically targets what he sees as a pervasive trend of sensitivity in today’s rap culture.
“You’re all new,” Luke said in part. “You are all young people. You young people all live in a soft society. I am glad that I am OG. You are all young people, soft. G########it. You are all soft Soft. You guys, soft.
When pressed, Luke expressed his opinion that modern rappers are quick to take things to dangerous extremes rather than handle conflict the old-fashioned way.
“You have weak men,” he said. “You get rappers into a diss war, and then they pick up guns and shoot each other. No, how about a fight?
Luke went on to explain that in his heyday, rappers were always taunting each other, but they never resorted to violence or legal action – citing himself, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg as examples of how hip-hop The right way to handle rap beef.
“All your favorite rappers are snitching, talking about wages, knowing how they feel, and suing people for diss,” he said. “We despise each other. Me and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg despise each other. The other rappers, The Real Roxanne, Roxanne Shanté, everyone despises each other. One thing is off limits, kids are off limits. Girlfriends It’s off limits, mom is off limits, that’s what you do.

Luke’s comments come at the end of his own legal battle.
