The battle between the two mammoth artists of hip-hop is far from over – except now, it has an interesting legal shift. The lawsuit has been ongoing since Drake first filed a lawsuit for Kendrick’s “Un Liting Un”, but Drake has since revised his libel lawsuit.
According to a recent report by Rolling Stone, the revised complaint held that the NFL was banned from performing the term “pedophile” in Kendrick’s halftime performance in the Super Bowl, a claim that reinforces the “don’t like us” claim, according to Drake’s legal team.
In response, UMG moved on Wednesday to dismiss the claim, rather than the claim without any hint. It says: “Drake’s new charge is surprising. … The focus of Drake’s new claim – “The biggest audience of Super Bowl halftime show ever” did not hear Lamar Call Call Call Call Call Call Call Call Call Call Call Call Call Drake or his crew pedophile – betrayed the case: Drake attacked Drake’s attack on his commercial and creative artists, not defeating Lamar’s lyrics.”
But that doesn’t stop there. The label continued to mock Drake’s argument by stating that “Drake contends that the decision not to include the word ‘pedophiles’ (as used in the phrase ‘certified pedophiles’) in Lamar’s Super Bowl performance could only reflect that the language is defamatory, but this ignores any number of other explanations for the decision – such as threats by Drake of additional meritless litigation,” referencing the fact that the NFL banned the word three weeks after Drake sued tag.
🚨Scracking news🚨
UMG confirmed that Drake does threaten to sue the NFL if Kendrick performs “not like us.”

Later in a statement, a spokesperson for the record company went on to demean Drake’s argument, pointing out that Drake’s team conveniently overlooked the fact that Drake himself created a song of a similar nature that contained “provocative mockery of other artists” and that Drake was the one who “started this particular deal.” UMG cited a lack of viable claims to maintain its position on dismissing the lawsuit. UMG even flipped the narrative that Drake was called a pedophile for no reason, as can be seen in the following quote.
umg is a small thing, just like hell🤣
“Drake himself longs for Lamar said, “Talk about (Drake) likes young girls. “What Lamar then did was that there was nothing but Ramar accepted Drake’s invitation.”
