Fan theories about color blindness
Following the album’s release and the debut of the song “St. Chroma,” fans are already speculating about the Easter eggs being rolled out. On Thursday night (October 17), X user boymolish shared a compelling fan theory.
“My theory is: Taylor’s character appears to be a parody of the character ‘The Chroma King’ from the book The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Just,” speculated boymolish in the tweet below. “Chroma’s job is to conduct an orchestra that is filled with color every day; without him and the instruments, the world would be colorless. If you know, Tyler is known for his bright, saturated colors throughout his career and the worlds he creates. Famous for its colours”.
“Furthermore, Taylor’s character seems to have given up on the dictatorial exterior,” he continued. “Also refers to someone who has complete control over a country or region. I feel like this album will take us on a journey from the perspective of Taylor’s new persona. As someone who is influenced not only by music, but by style and the world, he’s not The end of Taylor’s entire career, but the beginning of coloring books.
Taylor decided to release the album on Monday after previously expressing his dislike for Friday’s release. He recently revealed on X the reason for his Monday morning release.
“You can listen to it when you wake up, and you don’t have to deprive yourself of sleep for something that will be there when you wake up,” he wrote.
To promote the album, Taylor will embark on a world tour with Lil Yachty and Paris Texas in February.
