Tyler, the creator just made his mark from the North American part of his Chromakopia tour, will bring new versions of the show to New Zealand and Australia in a few weeks. Of course, he also received a good reception from his new album, Tak The Glass, as much of his work. You can stream here.
In a brand new interview with Ebro, Laura Stylez and Peter Rosenberg, Taylor paused to talk about the album and revealed some interesting information about its title.
Ebro asked about the name refers to people talking too much on the phone, and while he liked the explanation, Tyler admitted it wasn’t inspiration. Instead, it was the title he came up with, initially trying to be the name of the duo he and A$AP Rocky owned, which fans called Wang$ap.
“Don’t click glass is actually my name for me and the Flacko duo, but it’s never been used. I think it would be as ill as ‘let’s be called ‘Don’t click glass’, which is hard. “I just have that title in Tuck and I always like it and when I started working on it, I was like oh my god, it felt like sh*t’. ”
He also went on to say that he and Loki never locked in music due to their preference for scheduling conflicts and studio time. Check out the clip below.
