Troy Ave is free after serving six months in prison.
Troy Ive released from prison
The Brooklyn, New York, rapper announced his freedom via a post on Instagram on Monday (August 26). In the post below, Troy is posted outside Rikers Island Correctional Facility in the Bronx. He stood in front of a red Lamborghini Urus, holding a large bag and cash in one hand. He captioned the post: “Ya Boi Home.”
Troy, whose real name is Roland Collins, was released on August 22, according to New York Department of Corrections records.

Troy Ave served one year, six months in prison
Back in February, Troy Ivey turned himself in and served a year in prison for his role in the infamous 2016 Irving Plaza shooting in New York City, along with his bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McFate. ” McPhatter) was shot.
The incident began with a confrontation between Troy and podcaster Tucker Stone in the venue’s green room, which turned violent. Troy Ive was initially charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident, in which surveillance footage showed him opening fire at the venue, but he claimed he acted in self-defense. Tuckstone was found guilty last March of shooting McPhatter. Troy reportedly agreed to testify against Tuckers in exchange for a lighter sentence and eventually pleaded guilty to second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
