Trippie Redd was arrested this week when he tried to board a flight to Miami International Airport France.
On Thursday (July 3), the 26-year-old rapper stopped the country among Miami-Dade County sheriff’s deputies for the release of an invalid driver’s license case from Miami-Dade County in 2023, WPLG Local 10 Miami 10 Miami report.
According to the deputies’ report, he was detained at J Pier J in MIA at 4:50 p.m. after U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that he had an active bench. The video of his arrest was captured by someone nearby who had been captured on social media. When people heard the camera yelling, deputies revolved around the rapper, “Relax” and “That’s My Family”, when officials escorted the rapper away. Trippie was booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.
He was reportedly released on a margin of $150. Trippie’s first public mention of the incident came from an Instagram comment he left on DJ Akademiks’ post about the arrest.
He wrote: “Btw 2 plays 60k, SMH is lil tho, my bond is $150.00 lmao, but Channel 6 news plays my songs and I make $750.00 for it.”
Trippie is scheduled to perform at the Les Ardentes Music Festival in Belgium on July 5.
