Travis Scott will remain free after being arrested in Paris earlier this week.
Paris prosecutors told TMZ on Saturday (August 10) that no charges will be filed against the star and that he is out of jail.
Scott was arrested on Friday (August 9) after he allegedly assaulted a security guard at the luxury King George V Hotel. The guard reportedly tried to break up an existing scuffle between the Astroworld rapper and his bodyguard.
“I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, the police were called to the George V Hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott on charges of It was an attack on a security guard.
“Security intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguards. The Paris prosecutor’s office has handed the case over to the first district of the judicial police.
The arrest comes two months after La Flame was booked in Miami on DUI and trespassing charges.
The intoxication charge has since been dropped, but prosecutors are moving forward with trespassing charges, which carry a penalty of up to 60 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $500.
If someone is present in a building where a trespass occurs, it is considered a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail.
According to previous reports, Travis Scott was arrested in the early morning hours of June 20 for causing a “disturbance” on a charter boat at a Miami Beach marina.
“He was drunk, causing a disturbance and asked to leave multiple times,” police said.
In newly leaked body camera footage, Scott can be seen telling police that they “scared” him and criticizing officers for being too harsh.
The footage shows Scott being restrained and handcuffed by four officers before being taken into a police car after an altercation with police after he allegedly broke into the yacht to retrieve property.
Scott is scheduled to stand trial on the trespassing charge on September 10.
