Travis Scott wants to add Harvard to his resume. The Houston rapper revealed his strong interest in attending Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
Scott discussed his passion for architecture during a tour of his $65 million Beverly Hills mansion. He mentioned nonchalantly that he was considering architecture programs he might attend, singling out Harvard University as a potential choice.
“Architecture is my true passion,” Scott explained in a previous interview with Pin-Up Magazine. “I plan to apply to the Harvard Graduate School of Design’s architecture program after I finish music, but that won’t be for a while.”
The utopian artist first tweeted about Harvard in 2018, announcing his intention to apply to the prestigious graduate school of design. His interest stems from a lifelong fascination with architecture, structure and creative space.
The Harvard Graduate School of Design offers a Master of Architecture program that requires three years of full-time study. Admission requires a bachelor’s degree, submission of a portfolio, and demonstrated design experience.
Given Harvard’s highly competitive admissions rate, Scott’s application will face intense scrutiny.
Architecture programs typically admit fewer than 100 students each year from thousands of applicants from around the world, which may explain why he is still considering the program nearly eight years after revealing his ambitions.
Travis Scott will join several hip-hop artists in a Harvard Business School class.

Ryan Leslie represents the ultimate Harvard hip-hop success story. The producer and artist graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Government and Economics before launching his music career.
Travis Scott’s interest in Harvard is consistent with his broader creative vision. The rapper’s passion for architecture permeates his work. His stage designs feature sophisticated structures and immersive environments.
