Travis Scott and Sabrina Carpenter are both huge stars in their respective genres. The latter has recently become one of them, thanks to hits like “Espresso,” “Please Please Please” and “Feather.” The former is featured on her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, which was released on August 23. Since then, there have been multiple updates on final sales forecasts. Originally, about five days ago, Sabrina was ahead by 100,000 units. However, that quickly changed thanks to the power of bundles and deluxe and alternative editions. Scott was aiming to surpass the pop phenom and achieve the best first week for a hip-hop album in 2024.
Sadly for him and his fans, Sabrina was able to make Nicki Minaj and her Barbz proud. According to a report released by Billboard via Luminate, Short n’ Sweet sold just 1,000 copies in the days leading up to RODEO. The final tally was 362,000 to 361,000. Congratulations to the Penn State singer-songwriter as this is her first Top 10 project and the third biggest debut album of 2024.
Sabrina Carpenter lives a thousand units longer than Travis Scott
As for Travis Scott, if you want to say that, it’s too little too late. The final push over the past few days has been pretty remarkable and goes to show just how coveted the Days Before Rodeo tape really is. Initially, physical sales were expected to be 190,000 units, with total sales of the 12 songs expected to reach 217,000 units. That number has now jumped to 331,000 units, making it the second-biggest sales week of 2024.
